Christmas Tree
I quite liked the tree on the little car that I made and thought a little forrest of trees would be quite nice. First I make a cone then crochet loops to cover the cone. I might have to rethink the material though. This is an embroidery perle cotton and only comes in skeins which could get quite expensive for a larger tree, but I do like the look.

Origami Cranes
At Laura and Dilan's wedding on Saturday they had decorated the hall with paper cranes. We asked if they had made 1000 but they didn't count. We said we had made 1000 cranes before, a 1st Anniversary gift to Piers' sister. "There's some paper over there", so while we waited for guests to arrive and the wedding to start, and after a quick visit to YouTube (it was nearly 30 years ago we made them), Piers and I made a few cranes to add to the decorations.

Another Hexagon
I dropped into Fibresmith yesterday morning looking for a "crisper" yarn for the hexagon. I like the first hexagon but it is slightly fluffy, the yarn is a 4ply merino, a Fibresmith hand dyed yarn. The new yarn is a linen and thicker than the first. It does make the pattern crisper, but I'm afraid I will have to try something else as I only got one hexagon out of the ball, don't think I would even get 3 hexagons out of 2 balls of this yarn. Might have to rethink the whole project.
