An Even Smaller Little Mustard Car

I scaled down the pattern for the little car, which would be a good size for a Christmas Tree.

Little Noisy Miner

The latest bird to join the aviary is a Noisy Miner.  Recently a small flock (about 8) of these sweet birds have come into our backyard.  So I had to knit one.  This is the bird I started yesterday and finished last night.

Pin Cushions

I joined a pin cushion swap with Petalplum.  I have been paired with someone and now I am thinking about all the possibilities of what I could make.  There are a few rules, natural materials and in the post by the 1st of April.  Hmmmm.

Little Mustard Car

Finished.  I'm not quite sure about that particular green of the tree matching the mustard yellow.  I might wait until I have made some other trees in different greens and see which looks best before I attach one.

New Book

Last Thursday I bought 'The Art of Pressed Flowers and Leaves' by Jennie Ashmore at Can Do Books.  Not that I will be pressing leaves and flowers, but the way she has used the material is quite inspiring  and made me think of things I can make, something I need at the moment.  It seems to be a companion book for the one I bought a while ago, 'The Book of Leaves'.

Little Mustard Car

Yesterday at Can Do Book's Sit & Sew I took along some hand-sewing instead of the blouse.  I thought I would make some more little Christmas cars with trees on top.   By the end of the session yesterday I had sewn the felt onto the car.  Last night I made two more cardboard bases, started writing the instructions for how to make the little car, put all the windows on the little mustard car, and worked the back window trim.  Then I went to bed.

Bookends & More

Had a lovely day yesterday on Mothers Day.  We went for a drive to Geelong for some lunch and a rummage around a 2nd Hand/Antiques place. ...
