More Dyeing
I was reading in one of my books that the best dyeing material from gum trees are the breed of eucalyptus that don't really shed their bark. We have two gums in the nature strip, and yes one of them is that sort of tree. They are a bit tall, not sure how to get fresh material. Well, thanks to the wind and the parrots it was easy to get a pot full. Apparently the colour of dye differs with the season the material is harvested, so I will have to try again in summer and see what I get. This dark mustard colour is very nice. I included a photo of the original yarn.
